The Wine Company

I visited the The Wine Company's new retail outlet at Evans Road yesterday. They were running a free tasting for South Africa and Italian wine.

Didn't have time for the Italian. I focussed on the SA. The wines were ok but the promotional prices were very good. I found the Goat Do Roam in Villages pretty good for the price of $26 per bottle. Usual price is $31.

I know Zack likes this wine and I believe some of my friends like it as well. So I bought 4 bottles. I just let go one to Brian, my colleague. I can let go another if anyone is interested.

Goat Do Roam is an interesting SA wine producer. Take a look at their website. I think Jacelyn was asking me about this wine producer when we met at the Wirra Wirra tasting. Anyway, here it is:

Have fun.

Cheers,

Plato's Grapevine
Dear all,

I tasted a very nice bottle of Margaret River wine - 2002 Voyager Cab-Merlot. It is selling at $60+. It is so good that I bought a whole case. So far, I had let go two bottles to my friend Azmi and Adeline (I hope I spell her correctly).

Adeline said she likes the wine very much and it tastes better than the Wirra Wirra Dead Ringer. While both the Dead Ringer and Voyager Cab-Merlot were rated 96 points by James Halliday, the Voyager is only a fraction of the Dead Ringer. I say the Quality-Price ratio is very good. I still have a have a few bottles of Voyager Cab Merlot to spare - here stock lasts. Drop me an email if you would like to try one.

For those who would like to find out more about this wine, the following is the link to the web site:
