Plato's Grapevine

Wine at The Wine Company

Brian and I conducted a wine tasting session for our friends at The Wine Company@ Evans yesterday. Well, it was more like a wine drinking session.

Anyway, our friends enjoyed it very much and walked away knowing more about wine particularly South African wine. The Wine Company should be happy too because my friends liked the wine I selected and they bought a few bottles back. We drank a total of 4 bottles for the 7 of us.

1. Steigelmen Gerwustraminer Spatlese
The name of the lable tells you it is German. In fact, it is the only German label in the wine company. On the nose, sweet floral scent with the hint of acaia. On the palate, honey-lemon follow by the floral notes. Very pleasant to start a nice afternoon. The ladies loved it very much but Keng Hsin didn't quite like the sweetness in a white. Well, I ordered that mainly for the girls.

I am getting sleepy. Need to turn in. I will carry on tomorrow with the second, third and fourth wine. The following is a review of Pinotage, South Africa most famous wine. In fact, it is indemic to South Africa wine.

Cheers,

Sam
